CHANGING EYE COLOUR
In the following page you will see how I have used After Effects to create my desired look of being able to change eye colour and create some cool looking effects.
I started off with the simple no blinking, motion tracking changing the colour of the eyes. I filmed myself and used motion tracking and adjustment layers to change the colour of the eyes. I will show you how do this effect in the tutorial below.
Now there was a problem with blinking as the adjustment layer would stay tracking, however, not change with the blinking so that there would be a coloured ring on the eye lid. This would be fixed by changing the adjustment layer so that when the eye closes it tracks the eye lid down and back up.
So as you can see from the video above the green eye overlay matchs the blinks. I will show you how to do this in a video below. Now that I have the skills to change eye colour I wanted to try and match my genre of film trailers, which is horror, by changing the eyes to a more horror effect.
There will be a quick tutorial on how I have made this effect and how to motion track along with adjustment layers.
